Wholesale Bath and Body purchasing

At Springdale Spa we often receive emails and phone calls from people
who are just starting a retail business and looking for assistance in
choosing wholesale bath and body products.  First, it's important to
understand the reality of the of the bath and body industry, the
abiility they have based on their capital investment, and
then to complete their business plan accordingly.  I can not stress
the importance of a business plan too strongly.

Do a complete profile of your demographic market.  If you don't know
what type of purchasing power they have, what their likes and
dislikes are it's impossible to choose the right products for
your business.

One common mistake that is very costly involves scents.
Purchasing complete lines of 10 to 20 fragrances is very
expensive, and if you have chosen the wrong fragrances it
it will be hard to move that inventory at a profit.  Building
a test group identical to your demographic market is
a very sucessful in building your product and fragrance list.

Create a questionaire for your test group and have them
rate the fragrances and products you'd like to carry on a scale
from 1 to 10, 1 being the most desirable. Make a list
of 20 to 25 from the fragrances we list at www.springdalespa.com
List the products you'd like to carry and a variety of sizes.

Analyze the complete questionaire and then order the
top 10 to 15 fragrance in lotion samples. Regroup
with your test group and have them rate the lotion
samples from 1 to 10, 1 being the most desirable.
You now have the most sellable fragrances for
your demographic group.
