Soy Candle Care

If you are going to retail soy candles it's important
to educate your customers on the proper burning
of soy candles.  With proper burning most 100%
soy candles will burn atleast 10 hours per ounce.

Here are easy instructions for getting the most
out of soy candles.

Remove any packaging and read all instructions.

Place on a safe heat resistant dry surface.

Trim wick to 1/4" before lighting. Smoking
or fluttering may occur if the wick is too long.

Avoid drafts for even burning.

If wick is too short, push away some wax
from the unlit wick. Allow to burn
for a couple hours.

For each inch in diameter, a candle should
be burned approximately one hour. It's
important for soy container candles to be
burned until the wax pools the entire way
across the container with each burning.

Do not burn soy candles for more than 3
or 4 hours for the maxium life of the candle

Candle Trends

According to the newest candle trends information..Unscented
candles are becoming very popular.  Unscented candles have
always been offered at Springdale Spa, and now offered in our
new division  SpringdaleCandles.com  Many people don't like
candle scents competing with food while entertaining.  Springdale
has always had many food scents for candles and bath and body.
Our chocolates and coffees have always been popular with
gift basket makers, as those scents don't conflict or alter
the food scents.
For some retailers the color of the candles are more important
in their displays and sales.  Our new soy wax formula
and the soy blend both produce rich colors to fit any decor.

Soy floating candles will also soon be available.  These are
my favorites for summer entertaining outdoors. Floating candles
are supposedly going to be a really hot trend for 2007 also.
