The Ultimate Fruit Label Book
This is a highly recommended book. There are over 1,700 stunning color images of fruit labels presented here alphabetically. Many decorative motifs, including pin-up girls, Indians, airplanes, snowmen (!), huskies, anthropomorphized fruit, scenic vistas, and elaborate portraitures.
This book includes fascinating histories of all the major fruit companies and the rise of fruit labels, useful collecting hints, values, and a detailed bibliography. "Mostly full-color, six to a page to keep each a large, satisfying size. Superb reproduction from mint-condition examples." according to Bud Schiffer, 2006

I've been collecting labels for the last 20 years, I started in Oroville, Wa. w/ a book of about 30 labels, which I purchased from the legendary pioneer of Molson, Wa. Harry Sherling. I quickly met his friiends and listened to his stories and purchased more labels, over the 9 years of our association, before moving back to Eugene, Oregon where i tryed to persue a new hobby Harry had introduced me to.
I bought "The Ultimate Fruit Label Book" and it arrived June 15th, I opened it just as I was getting ready to retire, but found myself sitting up until about 3:00a.m. it was similar to being back in H.S. or College and trying to "cram" before the big exam. It is a "best Seller" to my way of viewing Agrilithography. *****
